Sergeant Caroline Graham, erstwhile girlfriend of Captain Karen Tait – the army officer who is suing the Ministry of Defence for homophobic discrimination – is said to have been involved with military policewoman Kerry Fletcher, who was involved in a sexual harassment case of her own three years ago.
The Sun has reported on this fresh evidence. Lance Bombardier Fletcher, 35, and no longer in the Army, claimed sexual harassment in 2009 against the MoD at a tribunal in Leeds. She was initially awarded £187,000, but this was later cut to £125,000. She and Sergeant Graham had been in a three-year relationship.
Captain Tait has claimed – in her current case – that she ended a relationship with Sergeant Graham before entering Afghanistan, but recent statements from the trial have lambasted her for “acting like a love-struck teenager”.
