An 18-year-old suspect has been arrested after police uncovered evidence that he was involved in a homophobic sticker campaign in east London.
The man was arrested on a public order offence. He has been bailed and is due to be questioned further on 8 May.
The stickers began to appear in February. They bore the message: ‘Arise and warn. Gay free zone. Verily Allah is severe in punishment’.
