The minister for the Western Region of Ghana, Paul Evans Aidoo, has called for a round up of all suspected gays living in the country.
In an interview with Joy FM, a radio station in the capital Accra, he said: “All efforts are being made to get rid of these people in society… Once they have been arrested, they will be brought before the law.”
The comments come in the run-up to the 2012 elections in Ghana.
