“I have my moments of insecurity where I question everything.”

Pop star and bonafide heart-throb Ricky Martin has a brand new documentary for VH1 and we can’t wait to see it.

The singer, who shot to international stardom in 1999 with his hit single Livin ‘La Vida Loca and came out as gay in 2010, has revealed a sneak preview of his upcoming film, Ricky Martin: Behind The Vegas Residency.

The hour-long special, due to premiere on 4 September, shows the talented hunk during the seven weeks leading up to his headline shows at the Monte Carlo Hotel and Casino. Check it out for yourself.

In the tantalising teaser clip, we see Martin admitting it wasn’t an easy journey: “I have my moments of insecurity where I question everything.”

Martin is also set to star in Ryan Murphy’s upcoming series, The Assassination Of Gianni Versace: American Crime Story. The film will include his first ever on-screen nude sex scene when he plays the part of Gianni Versace’s lover Antonio D’Amico.

He opened up about the filming experience in Entertainment Weekly:

“I thought I was going to be more uncomfortable. The exhibitionism kicked in for a moment and all of a sudden I was naked in bed in front of 20 people from the crew and another actor I met that same day. I was not nervous at all. On the contrary, I was ready to do what needed to be done.”

You’ll have to wait until early next year to see the finished film so in the meantime, roll on 8 September and the behind-the-scenes VH1 documentary.
