Celebs, allies and activists were out in force to celebrate the LGBT community.
At last night’s annual NatWest British LGBT Awards, the celebs, allies and activists were out in force to celebrate the LGBT community.
Hosts Alan Carr and Mel Sykes presented the awards, which recognise the people and organisations with a record of promoting equality and diversity for LGBT people.
Trans activist, Olympian and reality star Caitlyn Jenner flew in especially for the event and collected the Loud And Proud Award.
Fifth Harmony’s Lauren Jauregui took the title of Celebrity Of The Year and gave her acceptance speech via video message.

Other winners included Years & Years, newlyweds Tom Daley and Dustin Lance Black and screenwriter Russell T Davies who picked up the Lifetime Achievement Award. Married couple Rylan Clark-Neal and Dan Clark-Neal won the Media Moment trophy for their presenting spot on This Morning.
Accolades were also given for achievement in both the community and the corporate sector.
The star-studded guest list included Ollie Locke, Alesha Dixon, Katie Price, Jade from Little Mix and Girls Aloud’s Sarah Harding.
Commenting on the winners, Alan Carr, said:
“It has been a fantastic night that has rightly celebrated people in the LGBT community who are making a real difference, as well highlighting the straight allies who give their much-needed support. So many brilliant people have won awards and there were some very special moments.”
Awards co-founder, Sarah Garrett MBE, told us:
“The new challenges facing the LGBT community all over the world mean that these awards are more important than ever, so it has been wonderful to celebrate such inspirational role models who send out a positive message to people everywhere that being LGBT is not and should never be a barrier to success. That is what the British LGBT Awards is all about. ”
