It’s not every day that we get to make an announcement like this, so listen up folks! (Drumroll pur-leeze!) We couldn’t be more thrilled to announce that the award-winning coach, author and personal empowerment specialist Taz Thornton has joined the OutNewsGlobal family.
We’d probably break the internet if we tried to list all Taz’s accolades here, but let’s at least try to scratch the surface: she was named Best Coach at the National Best Business Women Awards 2018, was a finalist for the UK’s Most Inspirational Businesswoman 2019 and was named Female Professional Of The Year, Central England, in 2020. She’s also appeared on the DIVA Power List, has been named as one of the Top 50 Global Women In Marketing and has been widely featured on TV and in the mainstream and LGBTQ+ press.
Commenting on her new role, Taz said, “I was so delighted when Rob asked me to join the OutNewsGlobal team as a regular columnist. What’s so important to me is that a) OutNewsGlobal covers the entire LGBTQ+ spectrum and b) I can use such a wonderfully power-full platform to positively impact more people.”
The world’s full of possibility.
“Through lockdown particularly, more people have struggled with their mental health than ever; I aim to provide regular content to help with mindset and self-belief, as well as experiences and talk topics to encourage us to think a little deeper and wider and realise the world’s full of possibility for us all.
“I genuinely believe we all have an untapped well of potential – that’s where my #UnleashYourAwesome hashtag comes in. That message might not be specifically LGBTQ+ related, but it’s one so many need to hear in our community. It’s far too easy for too many of us to fall down the cracks and be left feeling unheard, unseen and under-represented – I want to be here for ALL of us, supporting us to shine and learn to love ourselves, inside and out, to take ownership of our lives and start creating the kind of future we want to enjoy.
“I’m so pleased to be able to serve you all in this way. Thank you to everyone involved – especially to Rob, who saw the benefit of a column like this AND put his trust in me to deliver for such a brilliant magazine.”
Rob Harkavy, OutNewsGlobal editor added, “I couldn’t be more proud to be able to welcome someone of Taz’s stature to the team. Over the past year or more, so many of us have experienced disruption to our lives, economic hardship and mental health problems. Taz’s unique approach to positivity and personal empowerment is something we can all benefit from, and I know I am not alone in keenly anticipating her brand new column and encouraging our wonderful readers to Unleash Their Awesome!”
Come back soon for Taz’s first column.
