It’s officially London Fashion Week, and while you impatiently wait for this year’s London Queer Fashion Show – which will take place on Friday the 20th – let us introduce you to Krypt.

Fashion and nightclubs make for some pretty classic combos. Think of Studio 54 and its 1970’s disco scene, where the most memorable artists and most iconic supermodels used to party until dawn. Well, London now has its own Studio 54, with a modern twist of inclusivity, vegan fashion, and yes, iconic catwalk models too.

“Krypt” has the merit of going beyond a traditional nightclub’s standards. It is the essential monthly party in town. After attending its grand opening last week, I can confidently say that Krypt will from now on be an established part of London’s queer party scene. Keep in mind though, everyone is welcome; this is an inclusive party for people of all backgrounds to enjoy.

Created by DJ talent and innovative drag artist Tequila, Krypt embraces the art of fashion while serving the best of club music and of course, avant-garde Camp aesthetics. Last week, Tequila gave us the honour of mixing his best tracks, in addition to walking the runway. International DJ Prince Jay Jay, contributed to Krypt’s fabulous atmosphere too. Prince Jay Jay deejaying is always a moment to look forward to during the night, he never disappoints and always puts at least one Britney song on.

Krypt featured a runway walked by amazing queer models wearing incredible collections, including a vegan one. Designers Ada Zanditon Couture, Sindy Nguyen, and Abbas each showcased three cutting-edge collections. More so, the glamourous party was hosted by incredible drag artists: Lledir Werdna, Miss Jake, Fabijus and Aaron O’Connor.

Krypt’s first outing is definitely a creative concept Tequila can be proud of. After establishing themself as a host in different nightclubs and evolving as a DJ thereafter, creating such a successful party shows the artist’s hard-working ethics and inventive talent. We can’t wait to see what more Tequila has in store for us and we certainly can’t wait for Krypt’s future events.
