Great British Bake Off contestant, Tamal Ray, has revealed he is gay.
The trainee anaesthetist and popular contestant on the baking show told the Radio Times that he “…wouldn’t have a girlfriend. I would have a boyfriend, but I’m single at the moment.
“Although yes, I have had a few offers on Twitter!”
Ray is one of four bakers still left in the competition and will compete for a place in the final on Wednesday with fellow bakers Ian Cumming, Nadiya Hussain and Flora Shedden
