AIDSribbon30 years ago this month, the first case of Aids was diagnosed in the UK. 

Today marks not only the anniversary of that diagnosis, but also World Aids Day, a globally observed day to commemorate those who have died from Aids. As we reported, HIV, the cause of Aids, is on the rise again in the UK, it is expected that over 100, 000 people will be living with the virus by the end of 2011.

This month, celebrities, politicians and people around the world will join the fight against HIV and Aids.  You can watch David Cameron’s message of support here.
