A Ugandan gay rights activist previously denied entry to the UK has been granted permission to attend Foyle Pride Festival in Northern Ireland.
Kasha Jacqueline Nabagesera was told last week that she would not be allowed to attend the festival, at which she was due to speak.
Nabagesera is the founder and executive director of Freedom and Roam Uganda.
Last year, Ugandan tabloid Rolling Stone featured Nabagesera’s name and address in a feature calling for gays to be hanged.
Soon after publication her colleague David Kato, also featured on the list, was murdered.
