The event, a celebration of the gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender community, will take place on Sunday 5 August. It will feature musical performances from acts such as The Only Way Is Essex star Jessica Wright, X Factor finalists 2 Shoes and Neighbours heartthrob Sam Clark.
The stadium will also host a dance tent with sets from top DJs, a cabaret stage and poetry readings. From 12.30pm, festival goers will take part in a three mile ‘Walk of Unity’, bringing a carnival atmosphere, colourful outfits and music through Doncaster town centre.
Julie Nichol, stadium manager at the Keepmoat Stadium, said: “We are delighted that the Pride festival is returning to our venue again. It is a fantastic event which brings people from across the country to Doncaster and we have a strong relationship with its organisers.
“We work closely with the local community and people from all backgrounds and we look forward to making Doncaster Pride 2012 a success.”
Entry into Doncaster Pride is priced at £3, while wristbands giving access to both the festival and its official after party at Crystals nightclub are available at £5.
