stonewall_logoThe eighth annual Stonewall Equality Walk saw 504 walkers raise over £50,000 for Stonewall’s Education For All campaign.

The walk took place on 1 May in Brighton. It was sponsored by American Express, and celebrities including Lip Service’s Heather Peace and Coronation Street’s Charlie Condou were amongst those who took part.

Walkers travelled along the seafront and through the gay village, finishing off at the Honey Club.

Laura Doughty, Stonewall’s Deputy Chief Executive, said:

“Stonewall’s work can make an even greater difference to the lives of all young people around the country, thanks to the success of this year’s Equality Walk. Money raised by our supporters at this walk will enable us to send an essential teacher training pack to every primary school in Britain, which will help them make their classes inclusive for children from all families.”
