A man in Cape Town, South Africa, has been accused of raping and trying to kill a ‘lesbian’ neighbour he claims was his lover.
Andile Ngcoza has pleaded not guilty to the rape and attempted murder of the woman on April 3 last year.
He claims he has known her for two years and was in a relationship with her at the time of the attack.
Ngcoza testified at Wynberg Regional Court on Tuesday: “We spoke about love and we came to an agreement. We agreed to be in a relationship, but it had to be kept a secret.”
The trial continues.
