In common with most Pride events across Scotland, the UK and the world, Perthshire Pride has had to cancel its physical events but has ensured that the show goes on in cyber land, with participation from local-boy-made-good, the actor Alan Cumming.

Son of Perthshire, Alan Cumming

is shining a spotlight on its queer community in 2020 by posting several exclusive videos throughout the month of August. These will highlight some of the best local and national talent, bring information on LGBTQIA+ services across the Big County, and discussing topics which affect our community. 

Highlights include:

  • An information video from The Terence Higgins Trust
  • An exclusive reading from Booker longlisted debut novel “Shuggie Bain” by its author Douglas Stuart
  • A video on how to take an HIV test
  • A performance from Perth’s leading drag artist, Scarlett Skylar Rey
  • A message of support from Aberfeldy-born actor, Alan Cumming, all the way from his home in the Catskills of New York
