Matt-DallasBest known for his starring role on the ABC Family TV show Kyle XY, actor Matt Dallas is starting the year a new man with a huge secret off his chest.

He officially came out to his tens of thousands of Twitter followers on January 6 with the message, “Starting the year off with a new fiancé @bluehamilton. A great way to kick off 2013.”

This news may not come as a huge surprise to many considering Matt’s sexuality has been questioned for years. In 2009, Perez Hilton linked him to actor Jonathan Bennett who played the role of Aaron Samuels in the ever-popular movie Mean Girls. Before Bennett, he was also reportedly dating N*SYNC’s Lance Bass.

His fiancé Blue Hamilton is a music producer signed to Plumbline Music Group, and is credited for his work on Justin Bieber’s 2011 Christmas album Under the Mistletoe and film Justin Bieber: Never Say Never.

Although news of their engagement is just now surfacing, E! Online reports that the pair has been quietly dating since 2009.
