Westlife star reunites with Mariah 17 years after joint chart topper

Mark Feehily is set for a sensational reunion with Mariah Carey this Christmas. The former Westlife star will join the singer on the All I Want For Christmas Is You tour as a special guest performer this December.

Mariah’s request for Mark to join her seasonal tour comes as the Irish singer prepares to release a festive album ahead of an exciting New Year comeback.

It’s not the first time the pair have shared a stage – Westlife fans will remember the pair topping the charts with a cover of the Phil Collins classic ‘Against the Odds’ in 2000.

Now, the best-selling female artist of all time and Mark, who himself notched up an impressive 14 number ones and sold 55 million records worldwide with Westlife, are expected to perform to sell-out crowds in both Manchester and London.

Mariah Carey and Westlife released a cover of Against All Odds in 2000.

An insider said: “Mariah was impressed by Mark’s natural vocal ability when they recorded their number one collaboration, so this is the perfect opportunity for them to work together again.

“It’s great timing for Mark. He’s preparing to release a series of seasonal tracks at Christmas ahead of bigger music projects next year.

“Working with a global superstar like Mariah will give Mark a platform to remind his fans of his exceptional voice. They’re both looking forward to reuniting in December for these very special arena gigs.”

UK dates for the Mariah Carey: All I Want For Christmas Is You tour include Sunday 10 December at the Manchester Arena and Monday 11 December at the O2, London.
