Following last week’s announcement that Manchester Pride plans to hold a physical festival for LGBTQ+ people and their allies to come together to celebrate LGBTQ+ life in Greater Manchester over the August Bank holiday, today Manchester Pride has launched tickets for all events across the weekend.

Mark Fletcher, CEO for Manchester Pride, said; “Manchester Pride Festival is one of the world’s leading celebrations of LGBTQ+ life. The Festival is made up of a number of events, some are free to attend and some require you to purchase a ticket. Our events fall under the six key strands of the Festival: Equality, Arts and Culture, Community, Party, Activism and Youth and Family.

“A huge thanks goes out to those who purchase tickets to attend our events. Because of you, we can continue to support and empower LGBTQ+ people all year round. Find out more about the work of that charity and how your support helps to improve the lives of LGBTQ+ people on our website.”

Tickets, including a new Low Income Ticket Programme, have gone on sale here:

Rainbow passes, which allow access to Manchester Pride Festival and four days at the Gay Village party, start at £38.50 for a day or £69.50 for the weekend and Gay Village Party tickets are £15 for one day or £22.50 for all four days.

New to this year is the introduction of a Low Income Ticket. These tickets are reserved for participants on a limited income. The Low Income Ticket Programme offers a reduced ticket price of 50%. They will be sold on a first-come, first-serve basis and they will be on sale until 30th June 2021 or until they have sold out.

These tickets are available for both the Gay Village Party and MCR Pride Live.

Due to there being a limited number of Low Income Tickets available, the organisers have restrict this programme for Greater Manchester residents only.

To qualify for the Low Income Ticket Programme, attendees will need to provide evidence of one of the following:

  • Universal Credit
  • Working Tax Credit
  • Job Seekers Allowance (JSA)
  • Personal Independence Payment (PIP)
  • Disability Living Allowance (DLA)

They will start at £22.50 for a Rainbow Day Pass or £39.75 for the weekend and £7.50 and £12.50 for Gay Village Party tickets.  Information on how to apply can be found on Manchester Pride’s website.
