Some of the UK’s best up and coming lesbian talent are joining together to record a single this month against homophobic bullying.

Some of the out artists working on the single include O’Hooley & Tidow, Nina McCann, Horse, Christina Novelli, Amber, Sandra MacBeth, Emma Kavanagh, Kenelis, Sofia Antonia Milone, Nicky Mitchell, and Amy Louise Sutton.

The track which will be called Breathing Life is set to be released early in 2012.

Songwriter Georgey Payne started the initiative called The L Project, and is aiming to raise money for the LGBT community, with money being distributed to a number of gay friendly charities.

Georgey Payne said: “Our chosen charities can help put an end to situations just like this, as well as helping with other challenges that some gay people face day to day.”

The inspiration for the song comes from a friend who is a target of homophobic bullies at school.

All those involved in The L Project have given up their time to volunteer to be a part of the cause.
