Caitlyn Jenner, the Olympian and reality TV star formerly known as Bruce Jenner revealed her new name on the cover of Vanity Fair.

The Keeping Up With The Kardashians star was shot by Annie Leibovitz in her first photoshoot and interview since going public as being transgender.

In behind-the-scenes footage from the set of the Vanity Fair shoot, Caitlyn compares coming out to winning an Olympic medal. She said: “The last few days doing this shoot was about my life and who I am as a person. Not about the fan fare and people cheering in the stadium. It’s not about going down the street and everyone going ‘atta boy, Bruce’ pat on the back.”

“This is about your life. Bruce always had to tell a lie – he was always living that lie. Every day he always had a secret from morning until night – Caitlyn doesn’t have any secrets. As soon as that Vanity Fair cover comes out I’m free.”
