Many Brits have been dreaming of a getaway with days of sunshine and sandy beaches and maybe now working from a remote location is a reality, Spain could provide the answer.

Rightmove data from May 2020, show that searches for property for sale abroad rose 33% compared to the previous year highlighting the easy access from the UK, good value and winter sun is an appealing option.

Have a look at these Spanish locations which provide warmth throughout the winter months with fewer tourists.


Las Villas, Mallorca.

For the water sports lover, Mallorca has sea temperatures of 19 degrees in November and 7 hours of sunshine so with 550km of coastline there is plenty to explore. Hiking in the Serra de Tramuntana mountain range is also a great way to explore the outdoors in the slightly cooler winter months as are golf and cycling.

Mallorca is the largest Balearic island and has a historic old city – Palma, with a cathedral, palace, seafront promenade and even boats some impressive Christmas lights. The local markets found here and dotted around the island, really highlight the quality of the fresh food on offer especially fish and pastries.
