DRHarry Potter star Daniel Radcliffe has been given a Hero award for his support of LGBT charity the Trevor Project.

The Trevor Project is an American organisation which works to prevent suicide amongst young gay and bisexual people.

The actor has featured in a number of the charity’s public service announcements since he first became involved with them in 2009.

Radcliffe told The Associated Press: “It’s fantastic. The fact that they think of what I’ve done by promoting awareness of the Trevor Project itself and the issues that it works to promote and help is a great honour.”
