dreamstime_xs_14873569A school district in Minnesota has become the latest body to suffer a lawsuit, following an accusation of homophobic bullying.

Those who filed the lawsuit have said that their school district, which is known for LGBT teen suicides, failed to keep them safe. The teachers who were aware of or witnessed the attacks have also come under fire, following the claim that they are unable to discuss LGBT matters, thanks to a “gag policy.”

The victims who suffered abuse told the US District Court that they were, “urinated on, stabbed in the neck with pencils and shoved into walls,” amongst many other degrading acts. It has also come to light that some of these attacks were carried out in front of school officials, who told the students to “ignore” what had happened.

The investigation into the claims begun last November and is ongoing.
