immigration_equality-6709LGBT immigration group Immigration Equality says it plans to sue the US government over the Defense of Marriage Act, which stops US citizens from bringing foreign same-sex marriage partners to live with them.


The lawsuit comes as a reaction to President Obama’s recent announcement that he does not support DOMA – and that he wants the Justice Department to stop defending in court the section which prevents recognition of same-sex marriages.
