imagesLady Gaga has been accused of wearing multiple fur garments by People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA). The pop star was recently photographed wearing fox, rabbit and wolf claims the animal rights organisation.

PETA has posted a letter to the singer on their website, asking if she is still against the use of fur. Praised by animal rights campaigners in the past for her opposition to the wearing of fur, she has been quoted on Ellen DeGeneres as saying ‘I hate fur and I don’t wear fur.’

Gaga’s twitter response to PETA reads: “For those press and such who are writing about whether or not my fur is actually real, please don’t forget to credit the designer Hermes. Thank you.” Whether she was actually wearing fur or not has been left undisclosed by the singer. PETA are speculating whether Gaga is aware of the origins of her clothing. Suggestions have been made that she may genuinely believe the attire to be fake.
