Gloucestershire Police are warning the gay community to watch out for a fraudster posing as a policeman online.
The culprit has been identified as Mark Attenborough, 30. Attenborough is also wanted in Bristol, Birmingham, Newcastle, Liverpool, London, Doncaster, Reading, Coventry and Cardiff.
His latest victim, an unnamed 43-year-old who met him online, says Attenborough conned him out of £600 in cash and credit cards after staying at his house for a week. Attenborough claimed he was a police officer called Saul White who was transferring to Gloucestershire and needed temporary crash space while he found his feet.
