IsleofManA law was today signed in Tynwald, the Isle of Man’s parliament, which will allow gay residents of the Isle of Man the right to civil partnerships.

The law will come into effect on 6 April.

Since 2005 gay couples already in civil partnerships living on the Isle of Man have had their pension rights recognised but not any of the other rights associated with civil partnerships.
