On Monday night’s episode of British reality TV show, Celebrity Big Brother, the actor and television presenter claimed bisexuality was the ‘worst type’ of sexuality.
During a chat about gay rights and the LGBT community, Biggins asked Mob Wives star Renee Graziano what her feelings were on gay people.
“I think it’s beautiful because it’s who you are and I think it’s natural,” she said. “But I think today in society, I think they kind of force things on people and confuse you.”
“I think the worst type though, I’m afraid to say, is the bisexuals,” Biggins added.
“That upsets me,” Grazino said. “You have to pick a team.”
“Yeah,” Biggins said. “What it is, is people not wanting to admit they’re gay.
“Please pick a team!” Graziano pleads. “You can pick any one you want.”
“I know, I agree,” Biggins said. “I totally agree.
Their comments understandably upset some viewers, accusing the pair of biphobia and branding their comments “disgusting” on social media.
This is not the first time Biggins has hit out at bisexuals. In a 2014 edition of The Big Issue, he said he believed that bisexuals weren’t “real people” because they lead “double lives.”
