Police have released a CCTV image of a man they wish to identify in connection to the assault on two men who were burned in a gay pub in Leicester.
The incident took place at around 12.40am on Tuesday October 25, at the Rainbow and Dove Pub. The two victims are being treated and one received severe facial burns.
Police say that the 24 year-old man arrested yesterday has been released and ruled out of the investigation, they also believe that the attack was not homophobically motivated.
Detective Inspector Simon Preston who is overseeing the investigation said: “We would urge the public to take a good look at the images and contact us if they recognise the man or have any suspicions about his identity.”
“If you were in the Charles Street area during the early hours of (Tuesday) morning and you witnessed the incident or the events leading up to it we would urge you to contact the police, if you haven’t done so already.”
