Jade and partner Gemma have made friends old and new as they embrace a slice of rural community living as the first residents to move into David Wilson Homes’ Orchard Green development at Kingsbrook in Aylesbury.

The couple, both aged 33, moved from renting a one bedroom home in Hemel Hempstead to a David Wilson property at Kingsbrook after falling in love with the show home next door. Jade said: “We’re so excited to be part of an inclusive community with a countryside feel. The house is huge compared to the property we were living in whilst saving. We can finally call our house, home.”

Since moving to the development, Jade and Gemma have discovered that their brand new neighborhood is home to some familiar faces. Jade added: “We joined the community Facebook page as soon as we moved in. It wasn’t long before we realized Gemma’s friend from Watford was living in the house opposite! We had no idea until we had already moved in.”

Jade, a Corporate Sales Manager and Gemma, a Sales Administrator moved into their new property at recently and are already enjoying the fresh open space that the Burcott Lane development offers. Jade added: “The space and the layout of the development is brilliant, we’ve been looking towards getting a big dog, potentially a Husky or a grey Labrador, as the next step to settling into our new home. We can’t wait to explore the open countryside and Nature Reserve once they’re completed.”

One of the primary reasons for the couple moving to Kingsbrook is the huge difference in value for money against properties in Hemel Hempstead. The first-time buyers who were previously searching for homes around Hemel Hempstead noticed a £200,000 difference in the types of homes they were looking for.

Buying off-plan, Gemma and Jade made their decision quickly after viewing the show home. Jade added: “We really didn’t know what we were looking for. We were recommended the development by some friends who recently moved to Wendover, so we went to have a look. We saw the show home and instantly fell in love. We knew that was the home type for us, we loved the layout and now we’re settled in and everything is decorated, we’re pleased we made the right choice.

“The neighbours are lovely, the builders are lovely, the Sales Advisers are lovely. Now we just can’t wait for it all to be finished, as the upcoming amenities look brilliant.”

David Wilson Homes also has a partnership with the RSPB, to help create a wildlife friendly development. Kingsbrook aims to develop a harmonious relationship with its wild neighbors. The Nature Reserve will play host to a huge amount of native wildlife, nurturing the community feel, regardless of species.

Karly Williams, Sales Director at David Wilson Homes North Thames, said: “The devoted and inclusive community that is starting to develop at Kingsbrook is just the icing on the cake, for such an incredible development.

“Kingsbrook is one of our flagship sites for wildlife friendly features, cutting-edge amenities and breadth of home types and while we hope this attracts a lovely community, it’s our residents who make this. With a dedicated residents association and the inception of a new parish council expected very soon, Kingsbrook has proven itself as a successful, standalone community that’s only set to grow.

“We are so pleased that Jade and Gemma have found old friends and new, in such a short space of time. With a new primary school, meeting places and community hubs planned to complete construction in 2021, we hope that all of our residents continue to make friends and build meaningful relationships at Kingsbrook.”

Kingsbrook currently has a range of three bedroom homes available at Orchard Green starting from £379,995. Other three and four bedroom homes are also available at Canal Quarter, also at Kingsbrook and starting from £345,000.
