Susan Olsen apologises for using homophobic, hate-filled slurs in private Facebook post to a gay actor.

Speaking out on Facebook over the weekend, Olsen claimed it was “rediculous” [sic] that she had been branded  homophobic.

“Somehow the actual apology that I made days ago did not get posted,” Olsen claims on her Facebook page.

“I am very sorry for ever hurting the LGBT community that I love so much. For that, I am sorry and frankly find it hilarious that I am being called a homophobe. What could be more rediculous???

“I think that the real LGBT community knows that I have and always will support them. I love you!”

Leon Acord-Whiting had remarked it was irresponsible to give Olsen, a fanatical Trump supporter, a radio show.

“She can spew her idiotic lies unchecked,” he said.

In a private message to Acord-Whiting, the former child actress wrote: “You are the biggest faggot ass in the world, the biggest pussy! “My dick is bigger than yours which ain’t saying much! What a true piece of shit you are! Lying faggot! I hope you meet your karma slowly and painfully.”

LA Talk Radio confirmed they had “severed” ties and Olsen had “veered off the direction in which we are going”.
She added: ‘And by the way, how does one get fired from a job they were never paid to do?’

The fiasco may come as a surprise to many as Olsen shares a history with the LGBT community. In 2013, she penned an open letter to Robert Reed, who played her father, Mike Brady in the sitcom. In it, she expressed her support for same-sex marriage, acknowledging that Reed, who was reportedly gay, could “never make peace with himself” and, as a result, remained in the closet before his death.

In June, Olsen appeared alongside Florence Henderson, who played Carol Brady, at the Actors Fund’s Tony Awards viewing party in Los Angeles. Henderson had long been an outspoken advocate of LGBTQ rights during her lifetime.

During the SCOTUS hearings Olsen also posted to her Facebook page “Please God, let the Supreme Court know that you think it’s OK for gay people to marry.”

OutNews Global has reached out to Olsen for additional comment.
