earthGay celebrity fitness instructor Angie Dowds of The Biggest Loser fame has died after falling from Beachy Head on the south coast of England.

Her body was found on Sunday by police near Eastbourne in Sussex, she is believed to have committed suicide although this has not been confirmed.

The 42-year-old celebrity is believed to have separated from her partner, Corrie Preece earlier in the year, and they had been intending to enter into a civil partnership.

Dowds had appeared on the ITV weight-loss programme since 2005 alongside Davina McCall.

On twitter, Davina McCall tweeted: “Rest in peace Angie Dowds @angechops. So so sad.”

A spokesman for Sussex police said: “Just after 4.30pm on Sunday, members of the public reported that a woman was seen to jump or fall from the top of cliffs at Beachy Head.

“Coastguards found the body of the woman at the foot of the cliffs about an hour later. There are no suspicious circumstances.”

She had battled drink and drugs in her youth, today her personal website has been changed to a picture of her with the words “Angie Dowds, RIP”.
