If you’re an LGBT+ globetrotter, then 2019 is going to be your wildest yet! There are some choice destinations across the globe offering up the most exciting, inclusive, and fun-filled events for gay travellers this summer. Whether you’re a chilled out beach bum or would prefer to spend your holidays exploring the nightlife of some of the most vibrant cities on Earth, we’ve got you covered. Read on to find out the hottest gay party destinations for summer 2019.

New York City

Given the historical role NYC has played in gay culture, it should come as no surprise that this place has topped the list. New York is always a great party destination for gay travellers, with one of the highest concentrations of LGBT+ bars, clubs, and societies in the world, as well as the largest pride event. However, summer 2019 will be an extra special one for you and your queer peers. This year marks the 50th anniversary of the Stonewall Riots, which is often considered the trigger for the LGBT rights movement. The city is also reviving the legendary Wigstock Festival for the first time in a decade, so bring your fiercest drag outfit.

Las Vegas

When it comes to partying in Las Vegas, “excess” is always the word of the day. The original City of Sin has been going through a transformation recently, with a number of exclusively gay casinos and resorts popping up off the strip. Book yourself a stay in the Bull Hog Ranch or the SLS Resort for some rainbow-splattered gambling and clubbing. Any travellers who are new to casino gaming are advised to practice their slots, blackjack, and poker skills before going, as the locals play to win. You can even practice on the flight over there by using a mobile-friendly site which offers plenty of casino bonuses, so you can save more money for the actual casinos.

Malta

Until very recently, the tiny Mediterranean island of Malta barely featured at all on the gay travel radar. Once a sleepy resort destination, this historic island has been making serious waves in recent years as it tries to re-brand itself as the best destination for queers in the world. Just last year they hosted the world’s first ever LGBT Tourism Forum, itself coming a year after the country finally legalised gay marriage. This summer you can expect plenty of gay beach parties, street festivals, and parades, all done with the blessing of the Maltese tourist board. Get yourself to the gayest island in the world before it gets too crowded.

Tel Aviv

The gay capital of the Middle East is pretty much the only place in the region where being out and proud is tolerated and encouraged, and summer 2019 will be a big one. As you probably already know, Eurovision will be taking place in the city for the first time in history, meaning that the party town of Tel Aviv will become even gayer than usual throughout the season. The nightlife is also unparalleled, so don’t be surprised if a quiet glass of wine turns into a 40-hour bender which ends with a rave by the sea.

These are the destinations offering something unique to queer travellers in 2019, so throw on some glitter and book those flights today.
