Olympic diver Tom Daley has announced his engaged to boyfriend, filmmaker, Dustin Lance Black. The couple announced their engagement officially, in the Times newspaper’s births, deaths and marriages section and also on social media.
The announcement in the Times read: “The engagement is announced between Tom, son of Robert and Debra Daley of Plymouth, and Lance, son of Jeff Bisch of Philadelphia and Anne Bisch of Lake Providence.”
Daley, who came out three years ago, chose to write on Instagram: “#HeSaidYES and then #ISaidYES Thanks for all the lovely messages!” underneath a photo of their rings and the newspaper announcement, perhaps for those of his fans who don’t read the Times.
The 21-year-old will wed his 41-year-old fiancée after the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio, his mother told the Plymouth Herald: “The whole family is extremely excited and looking forward to the big day. They are going to wait until after the Olympic Games in Rio before they decide on the date of the wedding and where they want to marry.”
