rainbow_ribbonTickets for Brighton and Hove 2012 are now officially on sale online. Entry to the twentieth Brighton Pride event can now be secured via the new Pride website, launched yesterday. The Grammy nominated act, the Freemasons, who hail from Brighton, have been confirmed as the first headline act for the 2012 Preston Park event, which was saved from closure in March after debts totalling more than £180,000 plunged the future of the event into doubt.

Ticket prices for the 2012 Preston Park event have been kept at the same price as 2011, with early bird tickets on sale at £8.50 and the full advance adult ticket price at £12.50. Family tickets, giving entry for two adults and two children are on sale for £30 and a VIP ticket offering an exclusive Pride experience with entry to the Revenge VIP Lounge and VIP access to the dance, cabaret and pop tents is also available for £49.95. £1 from every ticket sold will go back directly to the LGBT community via the Rainbow Fund.

4,000 tickets have been made available at a reduced price of £1 for LGBT community groups on application, with all proceeds going to the Rainbow Fund.

Michael Deol and Robert Webb, Directors of Pride Brighton and Hove, commented:

“We are delighted to have tickets for the 2012 Preston Park event on sale and in turn to be able to start generating donations for the Rainbow Fund. We are working to deliver the biggest and best Pride event the city has seen that celebrates the diversity of the LGBT community via our 2012 theme the United Colours of Pride”.
