Three British holidaymakers have been arrested after they allegedly attacked a gay couple with verbal abuse on a flight to LGBT+ hotspot Gran Canaria.

It apparently happened on a flight from Nottingham at the start of the month.

Two British gay guys who were jetting off together claim they were “mocked” after taking off to Spain on February 9.

Apparently, the abuse continued during and after landing when passengers were collecting luggage.

A description was given of the three alleged homophobes and Spanish authorities tracked them down and arrested them.

Police say the three are aged between 25 and 28 and were hauled immediately before a judge but wouldn’t confirm whether they were men or women.

The trio were charged with committing “a crime against the fundamental rights guaranteed by the Constitution” for discrimination based on sexual orientation.
