The nominees for the 27th annual GLAAD Media Awards have been announced and among them are The Danish Girl, Carol and Caitlyn Jenner’s “I Am Cait”.

The GLAAD Media Awards recognise and honour media for their fair, accurate and inclusive representations of the lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender communities.

“For nearly three decades, the GLAAD Media Awards have propelled inclusion in media and driven LGBT acceptance forward,” said GLAAD CEO and President Sarah Kate Ellis. “This year’s nominees have raised the bar for creating thoughtful and diverse LGBT images and storylines, deepening audiences’ understanding of LGBT people and accelerating acceptance across the world.”

101 nominees feature in this year’s annual honors which will be held in Los Angeles on April 2 at The Beverly Hilton and in New York on May 14 at the Waldorf Astoria New York. Both ceremonies will be televised in on Logo(USA) in April.

Other nominees include: Grace and Frankie; Modern Family; Orange is the New Black; Dope; Freeheld “I Am Cait.” You can view the full list here.
