Our sisters at DIVA add the award-winning author to Festival roster

Stella Duffy OBE, author of 16 novels, 60 short stories and 10 plays, is just one of the celebrated writers participating in this year’s DIVA Literary Festival.

Taking place at the Hilton Metropole at Birmingham’s NEC over the weekend of 15-17 March 2019, DIVA Lit Fest (as it’s affectionately known) is the UK’s biggest celebration of female and non-binary talent.

With novelists, scriptwriters, comedians and musicians coming together for what promises to be another joyous weekend of culture, comedy and community-focused camaraderie!

Highlights for 2019 so far include BAFTA winner and Different For Girls scriptwriter Jacquie Lawrence hosting a Queer As Soap panel discussion, the folk behind Gays The Word bookshop, “professional doodler” Cara Holland, lesfic legend Kiki Archer and our very own music editor, Heather Peace.

Plus! Team DIVA’s Roxy Bourdillon will be joined by VG Lee and Karen McLeod chatting all things funny – with more to be announced soon.

DIVA Events Director, Fiona Marshall, adds: “After the success of our 2017 Festival, tickets for this year’s event are already selling fast.

“With more and more big names being added to the programme all the time, I urge everyone to book their places as soon as possible – it’s going to be even bigger and better than our first!”
