The ageless Sinitta is back with a vengeance; her voice is as strong as ever, while those of us who are about the same age as her can only wonder as to how and when she discovered the secret of eternal youth.

‘Shine with Pride’ is a love letter to the LGBT+ community, and the title says it all. The track itself has echoes of the So Macho singer’s 80s roots – a little but Madonna, a little bit Michael Jackson but a whole lot of Sinitta. And while the 80s are most definitely referenced through the melody and vocals, the up-to-the-minute, oh-so-rousing backbeat ensures that this is no nostalgia trip to the Stock, Aitken, Waterman era; Sinitta gives us a joyous, hands-in-the-air musical experience that perfectly suits the long hot days and balmy evenings of the Pride season.
Sinitta has always been a wonderful ally to the LGBTQ community, so the least we can do is buy the record.
