Youtube couple up for Broadcaster of the Year.

The former DIVA cover stars are up for the Broadcaster of the Year award in the inaugural Australian LGBTI Awards. While the awards are primarily focussed on Australian members of the LGBTI community, the double act received such a huge number of votes they had to be included too.

The exciting event will take place during 2017’s Mardi Gras festival at the prestigious Sydney Opera House. A rainbow flag will be displayed from the iconic building on the night of the ceremony.

For the first time in the history of Australian events for the LGBTI community, Coca Cola are on board as the headline sponsor.

President, Roberto Mercade is proud that Coca Cola are supporting the awards: “Driving diversity in the workplace is an important responsibility for businesses like Coca Cola to ensure we deliver on our values.” He added, “In turn, we create an inclusive, diverse and high-functioning workplace.”

Other high profile sponsors of the Australian LGBTI Awards include GLAAD for the Community Initiative of the Year category, MTV for the Broadcaster of the Year award and OutNews Global, who are sponsoring the Journalist of the Year award.

Look out for the exclusive cover shoot and interview with Rose and Rosie in the December issue of DIVA, which will be in shops Thursday 1 December and available for digital download Friday 25 November.
