“There’s nothing I like better than listening to great minds talk about great books”.

Rachel Shelley has been announced as a host for the DIVA Literary Festival and Awards in November, celebrating the very best in lesbian and bi literature.

The writer, actress and radio presenter joins fellow host Heather Peace and a whole host of famous faces lined up for the inaugural festival at the Hilton Metropole in Birmingham, including Val McDermid, Denise Welch, Stella Duffy, Mary Paulson-Ellis and Lucy Sutcliffe.

The event, which kicks off on Friday 3 November, includes panels, workshops and author interviews, as well as live music and a spectacular awards show and dinner.

Rachel told us: “I’m very excited to have been asked to join the DIVA Literary Festival team in Birmingham this November.

“There’s nothing I like better than listening to great minds talk about great books, and to marvel at what one mind can achieve through its creativity.”
