Dead Man’s Fingers liberating London with opening of new Skullcuts salon

New Dead Man’s Fingers Spiced Rum – with its skull logo – has opened a dedicated Skullcuts salon for a limited time only, to help empower women and men in the capital.

From Kristen Stewart and Cara Delevingne to Tom Hardy and Arctic Monkey’s Alex Turner, right now there is a rising amount of males and females opting for a skullcut and they say it’s both liberating and empowering.

“That’s what Dead Man’s Fingers rum is all about,” says brand manager, Lucy Cottrell “It’s about breaking stereotypes and daring to be different – after all, who wants another traditional Caribbean rum? People expect a point of difference – and why not in their appearance too?

“Women are opting for buzz cuts and clean head shaves as a way to feel liberated and defy expectations, while men too are embracing their skulls and getting the breeze on their brains. It’s about freedom of choice, a statement against tradition and a way to feel in control – there’s something incredibly liberating about revealing part of the body which is usually hidden away.

“We hope as many people as possible will pop in.  The biggest decision they’ll have to make is whether to enjoy a full skull, half skull or ‘cranium craft’ and which Cornish cocktail to have!”

Skullcuts will be offering close to the bone styles, scalp treatments and Dead Man’s Fingers rum cocktails free-of-charge at 42 Redchurch Street, Shoreditch, from Tuesday August 21st until Thursday August 23rd, midday until 8pm. In true Dead Man’s Fingers spirit, no bookings are required, walk-ins welcome on a first-come, first-serve basis.

Dead Man’s Fingers Skullcuts’ ‘celebration of the skull’ pop-up also marks the launch of two new flavours of the rum, Coffee and Coconut. The original Spiced Rum will also be available to try.

Dead Man’s Fingers is breaking the rum mould by bringing a twist to Caribbean rum by using flavours and ingredients from the local Cornish area, such as saffron cake and the infamous Petro Ximinez ice cream from the Rum & Crab Shack in St. Ives.

The complete range of versatile and punchy Dead Man’s Fingers Spiced Rum is available from Amazon, £22 for 70cl and the original Spiced Rum is also available in ASDA stores nationwide, currently on offer for £18.
