Sauna fans ASSEMBLE! Sweatbox is getting a massive makeover.

Sweatbox gym and sauna in Soho is to temporarily close its doors from Sunday 12th August in order to receive a £1 million makeover. Having quite rightly maintained it’s reputation as being London’sbusiest (and sexiest) gay sauna for over 10 years, the time has come to have a little work done in order to continue offering the hottest space for gay men to work out, relax and unwind.

In recent year’s London’s LGBT community have seen an increase in closures of some of it’s most popular gay venues, however Sweatbox owners, Mr and Mr Ford are pleased to announced that while the venue will be closing, it is only temporary in order to revamp and modernise the central London space at a cost of £1 million.

Ooooh. Foamy!

To celebrate the refit, Sweatbox intends to go out with a bang by holding a sexy 24-hour goodbye event on Sunday 12th August. In addition, they’re offering 100 guests free admission by signing up to their text database for the latest news and updates of the renovation. Simply text “FREESWEAT” to 88802 to enter. The event promises to be one of the hottest of the summer with the perfect
opportunity to say goodbye to the venue as so many know it.

Owner Mark Ford says of the refurb “it’s important to us to continue to invest in the gay community in order to offer a safe and sexy space for gay men to meet and interact with likeminded people. For the last decade we have seen almost 2 million guests use our facilities, so as you can imagine some work needs to be done to ensure we have a reason for guys to come time and time again.”

With the introduction of new workout spaces, a new giant jacuzzi, as well as a extensive steam maze and hammam, the newly revamped space will no doubt offer the same much loved atmosphere as before but in a hotter and sexier setting.

Avoiding eye contact at all costs

Jason Ford adds, “We are very excited about the refurbishment and looking forward to improving our customers’ experience, as well as expanding on our community outreach. Previously we have worked with 56 Dean St and AfterParty to provide free sexual health screening and counselling, and we want to expand on that further and offer more services in our new expanded facilities.”

Sweatbox is located at Ramillies House, 1-2 Ramillies St, Soho, London W1F 7LN and is open 24 hours a day. For competition details and further info about the planned event please visitwww.sweatboxsoho.com or contact Jason Ford at jason@sweatboxsoho.com
