WorldPride2012With the World Pride 2012 Festival already underway in London, the Board of World Pride 2012 are keen to address the concerns of the media, community and public at large in relation to what they call “the misrepresented rumours and cancellation of the pride parade amid bad organisation.”

The organisers today released the following statement:

“As always, we are keen to be transparent and provide a better and balanced view to the ‘state of the nation’. There are a number of factual inaccuracies published in articles criticizing World Pride 2012 to date. The first and most important lies in the supposed level of debt. Pride London does not owe £65K from last year’s event and the organisers are extremely concerned as to the source of this information. In addition, two of the event contractors mentioned in the Evening Standard article have now come up proactively to say that under no circumstances do they have any problem with Pride London and are happy to build on long-standing relationships in their support of the LGBT community. Elton John/David Furnish have a relationship with PRIDE HOUSE, a LONDON 2012 (Olympics) related event. This was never anything to do with Pride London/World Pride.”

Square Peg Media, the owners of OutNews, are proud to support and raise funds for Pride London/World Pride by publishing world Pride Magazine
