The new weekly interactive discussion show for the LGBT+ community.

Starting tonight, Pride in London is launching its brand new weekly interactive discussion show. The programme, which is called Pride in London LIVE, will be broadcast live on Facebook.

Topics covered include LGBT+ families, mental and sexual health issues, London’s LGBT+ community groups and the lives of LGBT+ people around the world.

This exciting new initiative aims to ignite conversations and encourage a greater sense of community. Key figures from the LGBT+ community and leaders in industry will appear as guests and viewers will have the ability to comment via the live stream and have their questions answered live on air.

The 12-week series begins tonight at 7:30pm. The premiere episode will tackle the topic, “Do We Still Need Pride?” Presented by ITN reporter Minnie Stephenson, the show will also feature Co-founder of Stonewall Lord Cashman, Director of Development & Strategic Partnerships for Pride in London Polly Shute and activist Bisi Alimi.

Senior Manager of Social Media at Pride in London Matthew Hemes told us:

“This is the first time we’ve ever been able to run a project on this scale and the first time our community will have its own interactive, dedicated online show. We’re very excited about the series and hope it will spark discussions in the LGBT+ community and beyond, and help address real issues and also aid understanding.”

He added:

“Through Facebook Live we can create an open platform where conversations can be had freely, where our audience can ask questions, and we can give viewers direct access to some of the most prominent and influential LGBT+ figure. I’m really looking forward to working with Compare The Cloud to make this happen.”

Tune into the first episode of Pride in London LIVE tonight at 7:30pm on their Facebook page.
