policecompPolice officers attended to a man in his 20s with facial injuries at about 10.15pm on Wednesday, November 9 on Quay Street in Worcester.

Police were told the man needed no medical treatment but he had been assaulted by a mixed-race man and it was because the victim was gay.

Police are looking for witnesses to the attack, and from any individuals who were in the area at the time who may have seen anything.

PC Jon Griffith said: “We are keen to find out the full facts about this incident and what the motivation was for the assault.”
