Outnews Global, the contemporary LGBT news outlet in the UK and beyond, is proud to sponsor the Celebrity of the Year category in this year’s British LGBT Awards.

The awards provide an important opportunity to celebrate and highlight the achievements of LGBT people throughout the UK. The glitzy awards ceremony, taking place at London’s Grand Connaught Rooms on 13th May, will pay tribute to the individuals and organisations who have demonstrated an outstanding commitment to promoting equality and diversity.

Last year, the awards were the UK’s most publicised LGBT event.

Previous guests have included Stephen Fry, Clare Balding, Cilla Black, Paul O’Grady, Lorraine Kelly, Nadine Coyle and Graham Norton among many others.

This year, with the support of Headline sponsors, RBS, the event will be even bigger, reaching more people and media across the UK than ever before.

AJ Higginson, editor of Outnews Global said:

“The British LGBT Awards are not only a fantastic way to recognise the individuals and organisations that are making the UK a more inclusive and progressive place to live and work, but also serve as inspiration to make sure we continue to do all we can to tackle inequality in all its forms wherever we see it.

“At Outnews Global, we practise diversity in everything we do – which is why we are proud to be sponsoring the Celebrity of the Year category, highlighting the very best of LGBT talent.”
