A 24-year-old man who accused X Factor judge Louis Walsh of groping him in a nightclub has admitted that the accusation was false.
The man says he made the claims in the hope that Walsh would pay him off stop him from pressing charges.
He claimed to have been attacked on 10 April in Krystle nightclub in Dublin.
He is now being questioned at Dublin’s Peace Street police station.
