The month long gay arts festival enters into its eighth year today, with the theme Cruising for Art, which will feature theatre, dance, cabaret, and film.

The festival showcases exhibitions and live performances around the city in a celebration of 21st century LGBT life in all its extravagant diversity.

The UK premiere of performance piece Dykeotomy will be performed on the opening day and tells the tale of modern gender confusion.

Exhibitions also include Policing sex between me: 1850 – 1971, which is a lecture on homosexuality in the Victorian era.

Dance highlights include the premiere of Crusing, Clubbin, F***ing, and other highlights include A Taste Of Honey and Totally Frocked up!
