Sticking two fingers up to the pandemic while, of course, sticking solidly to social distancing rules and regs, Paul Burston’s Polari Literary Salon is returning to London’s Heaven nightclub on Wednesday 16th December.

As ever, Polari will be showcasing some of the LGBTQ+ scene’s stand-out literary talent including a specially-devised multimedia set from Alexis Gregory, the legend that is VG Lee as you’ve never seen her before and rising star of the poetry scene, PJ Samuels.

Ian Elmslie is set to provide the live music, dialling up the enjoyment factor to 11.

Fancy it? Doors open at 6pm for a 7.30pm start with tickets available from Eventbrite.

The boring but important bit

  1. Tickets for this event are being sold by table and are available in groups of 2, 3 and 4, in accordance with current government social distancing guidelines.
  2. People seated together must be from the same household or social support bubble.
  3. Under the latest government rules, all customers will be required to purchase food if they wish to purchase alcohol. Heaven will ensure that provisions are in place to meet these requirements. It’ll be just like the old days, when gay clubs sold burgers and chips so they could stay open after 11pm!
