The Bi Series Launch: Our Forgotten Bi History.

Starting in February the LGBT Foundation is launching its first Bi-specific series of events.

Throughout 2017 they will be hosting a variety of talks, workshops and community events in Manchester, aimed at bi people and drawing on the experiences of bi activists across the UK.

The first talk is on Bi History from prominent bi activist Jen Yockney MBE. Jen has worked on giving bisexual communities support and a voice for the past twenty plus years. In 2016 she was the first ‘Mx’ to appear in the Queen’s Honour List and the first to receive an honour for Services to the Bisexual Community. Jen’s talk will be a fascinating insight into the forgotten history of bisexual communities.

It will be followed by ‘speed-mating’ – a great, informal opportunity to mingle and share a bit of your own histories with other bi people. Throughout the afternoon, there will also be a chance to add your story to a Bi History video project being organised by Biphoria.

The launch is open to all.
